Pacific University Alumni of 2006 David Snell just published his second novel, "Demon Days," which can be found in the Pacific University bookstore. The novel is co-authored by screenwriter and producer Richard Finney.

The premise of Snell's novel is such: couple Sandy and Tom take a vacation but end up in a helicopter accident in which Tom is injured and has a near death experience. During this experience, Tom believes that he has made contact with God, but as the book continues, he finds out that he was wrong and Sandy must save him from the "dark forces that wish to control his every move."

According to Snell, the novel is "a spellbinding tale of puzzles, prophecy and possession that will make you think twice about the world we live in. And the climax will leave you gasping for air."

When asked how the novel has been doing on the market, Snell replied, "Every review of 'Demon Days' ... has praised the original twist on near-death experiences, the idea that the bright light at the end of the tunnel might actually be the purest evil."

Snell did mention that some reviewers have criticized the short length of the novel, "but that overall, it has been well received."

"Demon Days" is Snell's second novel, the first being "Roses of Blood on Barbwire Vines," which he began writing in 2004 as a junior at Pacific.

When asked if there was anything that he wanted the students of Pacific to know, Snell mentioned that they should check out the video preview of the novel that his co-author Richard Finney filmed complete with actors and special effects. It can be found online at finneyandsnell.com.
