According to professor Ellen Hastey, the spring travel course, Peace and Social Justice in Cuba, was canceled. A Cuba AyUUda group from the Unitarian Church in Portland, the organization that sponsored the Pacific travel class last January and was going to sponsor this trip as well, was detained at the Havana airport and then sent back to Cancun. The initial reason given was that they had incorrect visas.
