This attitude, along with team camaraderie, has helped make Pacific's season one of the most successful it has seen in decades. Yoshimoto states, "Our team is really supportive of each other. We all cheer for each other. I think everyone on the team has improved throughout the season."
"Sometimes people tell us not to cheer so loud." Goya added.
This success has not come without its hardships, however. Yoshimoto suffered from an ankle injury at her first match against Linfield, forcing her to wear a brace the rest of the season. The same proved to come true for knee, although she insists she is healed now.
Goya shares a similar story. By the end of the season she "kind of fell apart." With a lower back injury and weakening ankles along with recurring shoulder injury, she was in definite need of some recuperating time.
As for future goals, the girls take it one day at a time. Yoshimoto knows one thing however, "I just want to play my best every season and help my team get to playoffs. I want to do well for myself as well as the team."
Goya has a similar outlook, "I'd just like to play my hardest and leave everything on the court."
