PJ Griess Senior Project

Issue date: 4/16/09 Section: Senior Projects
Music playing, eyes fixed on the screen, people shouting and cheering; this is the scene in houses and dorm rooms worldwide. It will also be the scene in a Pacific University classroom during senior projects day.
PJ Griess is a computer science major who did his senior project on a subject of great interest to many people: video games. Greiss created a game that he explained is similar to Rock Band or Guitar Hero, but allows you to play your own music off your computer in the game.
Creating his own game is something that has interested Griess for some time. During the summer he realized that he could make a game for less than he could buy a game; the rest is history. Now he will get to show off his work on senior projects day.
"Anyone who is interested in video games, music or computer science should come," said Griess, who will present on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
