Aramark to receive special guest
Issue date: 9/25/08 Section: News
Chef Jose Cardenas Elizarraras, who currently works for ARAMARK as a corporate chef in Business & Industry in Mexico City, Mexico, will be visiting Pacific as part of ARAMARK's International Guest Chef Exchange (IGCE) program.
As part of the program, Pacific University will host Chef Elizarraras from October 4-7. While at Pacific, he will spend time learning about our culinary operations here, and has planned a special menu he will share with Pacific University customers.
ARAMARK has chosen only 25 chefs from North America, South America, Europe, and Asia to participate in the exchange this year. "To me, cooking is a universal language which allows me to communicate with others, regardless of ethnicity, nationality, or culture," said Elizarraras. "I look forward to visiting the Pacific Northwest to learn from and contribute to the collegiate food environment."
