Two of Pacific's foreign language clubs hosted Asian Day May 4. It was meant to be a cultural sharing festival held in the Fireside Lounge of the UC. Pacific students involved in the Japanese and Chinese language programs showcased the event.

The event also supplied a variety of authentic Asian foods, and calligraphy and origami activity tables, allowing guests to experience the ethnic arts and crafts of various cultures.

Even a band rocked the Fireside for the duration of the program, playing a vareity of rock and alternative music.

Native dances of China and Japan were also performed by students in front of a pretty substantial standing crowd, with students walking through the UC during the noon hour or to get to class.

The event was an opportunity for foreign language and international program students to give back to the Pacific University community.
